If it were possible, there would be many foreigners living here.
The first is obsticle apply for a residence permit or work permit. You can not work here on a tourist visa.
Unless you have a special ability with a degree you can forget about the work of visas.

Why pay a stranger $ salaries if a room will work 10 hours a day, 6 days a week for $ 5 a day to rent?

There is an old saying to us foreigners living here. You want to make a small fortune in the Philippines? You start by investing a fortune. I've lived here more than 8 years and still do not see what to do here is worth investing in. In addition to the rules are the aliens could face only 40% of a company. I lakes, many foreigners losing their shirts and their local partners, because he stole all the cards in the company and Evan had the balls in the name of the company as a loan in order to allow foreign ownership of the bag.

When children are older people who live here are all for retirement, including me.

If you wish it to be an expensive and unprofitable in a call center run .. the profit-making activity is the administration involved in a bar GERD (girls in prostitution and strip next time), or strip club. If companies want to attract to younger girls, esp. Youth under 20 years to make ends meet, to be met for the support of the school, you can draw all the "rich" men Filipino ..

Oneiloilokano Read what he says is the truth.

When you invest in the Philippines thus remain abroad and live there. You can not make a serious life and there is much room for ex-pat http://retirephilippines.wetpaint.com/ want to tell you.

If you are not a Filipino, forget it! To invest only what you can get.
If you've been there maybe more of a gentleman who live there, not just earning money in the Philippines noted. You will receive a pension or social security.

Oneiloilokano advice was realistic and clearly defined here ...

If you decided to go there, you'd better a lot of money for your loan first!

G'luck.
